 A very rare pair of Louis XV‑style gilt‑metal mounted turquoise porcelain candelabra, attributed to Thomas Abbott of Birmingham, 19th Century. Each example features foliate‑cast scrolling twin candle arms terminating in foliate cups and drip pans. The baluster‑form twin‑handled bodies sit on circular bases cast with scroll and shell ornament - stamped ‘ABBOTT’ to the base. Height: 50 cm.

Thomas Abbott was a noted bronze founder and lamp maker of Moor Street, Birmingham. Examples of his work are held in the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, reflecting the quality and significance of his output.

Condition: One candelabrum remains tight and stable; the other shows minor movement at the branch section, consistent with age. Both display an excellent overall patina and strong decorative presence.
